LibreOffice 4.3.3 - LibreOffice is an all-in-one professional office productivity and management package for your PC, intended to give both home users and professionals instant access to the best open source tools for office and business productivity that rival even the solutions that can be found in professional suites, most notably Microsoft Office. LibreOffice is a comprehensive, professional-quality productivity suite that you can download and install for free. The basic component of LibreOffice are six applications that can cover everything you or your business need – Writer (highly capable WYSIWYG word processor), Calc (spreadsheet program that is very similar to Excel, with expanded graph editor), Impress (presentation program that can even export data in SFV file format), Draw (powerful vector graphic editor that has similar feature set like early versions of CorelDraw), Math (dedicated app for creating or editing mathematical formulae) and finally Base (fully-featured database management program).

LibreOffice is compatible with all major competitors file formats. You can easily import files from Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and many other formats, and can easily save to Microsoft Office and other formats when needed. LibreOffice holds wide variety of advanced tools, third party plugins, and even a programming language LibreOffice Basic that can be used for creation of versatile scripts.

What does LibreOffice give you?

Writer is the word processor inside LibreOffice. Base is the database front-end of the LibreOffice suite. With Base, you can seamlessly integrate your existing database structures into the other components of LibreOffice, or create an interface to use and administer your data as a stand-alone application. You can use imported and linked tables and queries from MySQL, PostgreSQL or Microsoft Access and many other data sources, or design your own with Base.
